Welcome to the BDI team: Environmental Engineer Christa Van’t Hul, EI and Client Development Representative Edwin “Buz” Eddy, who recently retired after serving as Gulf Breeze City Manager for 25 years.
“Everyone is excited to welcome Christa and Buz to the BDI family. Both bring a wealth of experience and insights that will help us expand our service to clients and move our communities forward,” said President and CEO Fred C. Donovan Sr.
Edwin “Buz” Eddy is a recognized leader in local government and during his tenure has served in a wide variety of roles including: Board member of the Florida City/County Managers Association; member of the International City/County Managers Association; and member of the Gulf Breeze Sertoma and Rotary Clubs. He also serves as the Gulf Breeze representative on the Santa Rosa County RESTORE Council and as president of the Fairpoint Regional Utility System.
In his new role, Buz will focus on BDI client and business development. He has also been retained by the City of Gulf Breeze as a special consultant to the mayor and city manager and continues in his role as coordinator for the Citizens Academy, which he founded in 2017.
Christa Van’t Hul, EI graduated from Iowa State University, where she earned dual bachelor’s degrees in Environmental Studies and Civil Engineering, with an emphasis on Environmental Engineering. She is also continuing her studies and working toward completing her master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, via a distance program from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Christa’s background includes experience as an environmental management information systems (EMIS) consultant for large, multinational companies and as an environmental project engineer for a small Illinois engineering firm.
