IT Windows Systems Administrator - Pensacola, FL

As a full time team member, the incumbent will help to administer servers, security, key infrastructure applications, printing, desktop computers, and VoIP phones; responsible for helping to ensure these systems are functioning at optimum levels while maximizing systems availability; contribute to the management of services delivered by IT partners; respond to service request, problem and change management, and troubleshoot issues as needed; provide input to discussions on the overall direction of the supported IT operating environment and maintain a repository of relevant documentation; establish strong working relationships with peers and customers.


Requirements

Install, maintain, and upgrade OSs and applications for a Microsoft Server and Client environment. Incumbent will also be responsible for maintaining an MPLS voice network and a Broadband data network with site-to-site VPN tunnels and perform VoIP Telephone System Administration.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: IP, DHCP, DNS, Firewalls, VPN's, Active Directory, Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange, Group Policy, Distributed File System, Anti-virus, BackupExec, web site maintenance, VoIP Phone System administration, patch management, workstation installation, configuration, and support.

Minimum Basic Qualifications

  • High School with 3 years' experience, AA in related field of study, other technical degree, certification, or equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Experience with Active Directory, Windows Server, and Exchange Server.
  • Experience in information security and system security to provide the confidentiality, integrity and availability of corporate computing resources.

Desired Competencies and Qualifications

  • Installation, configuration and support of CAD applications
  • Installation, configuration and support of large format printers
  • VMware administration
  • MPLS knowledge
  • Knowledge of broadband networks with VPN site to site tunnels
  • WordPress as a web publishing tool

Other requirements

  • Share in on-call responsibilities as assigned to support our entire operating environment.
  • Occasional travel to our offices which cover geography from central Florida to Southern Alabama.
  • Ability to lift 60 pounds without issue and the ability to move and install IT equipment as required.
