Senior Civil/Environmental Engineer

Location: Pensacola Office

Summary:

Seeking a Senior Civil/Environmental Engineer with 10+ years’ experience related to water and/or wastewater treatment systems, for our Pensacola, FL office. The primary focus of this position is to provide engineering services for water, wastewater, and reclaimed water systems including the planning, design, permitting, funding development/administration and construction phase services.  The Senior Engineer should also concurrently foster business development within the practice of engineering, expand the capabilities and opportunities of the environmental department, expand positive client relations, and review/approve calculations, documents, and designs.

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering required Master of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering is a plus
  • Licensed PE is required. The ability to become licensed in the State of Florida within a year is required.  Licensed PE in the state of Alabama is a plus

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Minimum of ten years of working experience with advance knowledge in civil/environmental engineering, particularly within water and wastewater treatment systems
  • Experience with municipal and state permitting and approval process
  • Experience with water and wastewater systems; modeling is a plus
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is a plus

Must be able to read documents, use computers and see other materials necessary for the ongoing development and serving of clients

Must be able to hear and speak clearly

Must be able to sit in a seated position; moving about on foot to accomplish tasks

Lifting/Repetitive Motions/Fingering:

Ability to lift office supplies; make substantial movements of the wrists, hand and/or finger; picking, pinching typing or otherwise working primarily with the fingers rather than the whole hand

Working Conditions and Environmental:

Travel required as necessary.  Must also be able to attend meetings, etc. outside of normal business hours.
