BDI’s Scott Jernigan, P.E., was selected as a member of the Pensacola Chamber Foundation’s Leadership Pensacola (LeaP) Class for 2016.
The mission and vision of this 30+ year program is to develop and foster community-minded leaders who are well informed, committed and who have the desire to inspire positive change in the greater Pensacola area.
Each year, only 50 participants are selected to participate in the 10-month program from a pool of hundreds of applicants. Those selected represent a cross-section of applicants from different career, educational, political, social and cultural backgrounds.
Mr. Jernigan, a Pensacola native, graduated with a BS in Civil Engineering from Auburn University in 2004. He is registered as a Professional Engineer in the states of Florida, Alabama Mississippi and Texas. His professional experience includes construction administration, stormwater treatment systems studies, and water and wastewater infrastructure design. His knowledge of computer software, regulatory requirements, and project planning and execution have been used to successfully complete complex projects for multiple private and municipal clients. Mr. Jernigan has also been actively involved in hydraulic analysis, infrastructure evaluation and design, growth planning and permitting.
