Tony Burton, PE, Wins Chairman’s Award

BDI’s Annual Chairman’s Award recognizes the employee who best embodies our culture of excellence. Candidates are nominated, reviewed and chosen under a cloak of secrecy, and the award is announced at an “all hands” company meeting, with the winner’s family in attendance as an added surprise. This year we honored Tony Burton for his dedication in pursuing his master’s degree and in doing whatever is necessary to support our team.

Tony earned his Civil Engineering degree from Florida A&M University and his master’s in Structural Engineering from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He has over 13 years of experience in his field. In his work and private life, Tony puts God, family, friends and community first and foremost.

“We believe our most important asset is our people. Tony is an outstanding example of the culture that we are forming as the foundation of our organization. We congratulate Tony for winning the Annual Chairman’s Award and for joining a group of past recipients who are an inspiration to us all,” said BDI President and CEO Fred C. Donovan Sr.
