BDI was involved in NFCU Brian L. McDonnell Center at Heritage Oaks form concept to completion. This was a multiphase development for relocation of NFCU offices in Virginia to Pensacola, Florida. BDI worked with Escambia County staff to select the property, rezone the property and develop construction plans for a 65 acre technology park. The development occurred in multiple phases over the 6 years. The site/civil design included surveying, land division and platting, roadway design, on-site stormwater management, extensive turn lanes on US Highway 90, potable water and sanitary sewer systems, parking areas, intersection signalization and site lighting. Construction administration was provided as necessary to approve pay requests and complete certification of permits. The Center is only the second LEED Gold–certified building in the state of Florida.
