Maritime Park

BDI was hired as the design / build team to put in place the proposed concepts of world class design consultants.

Maritime Park is a $52 million multi-use community park on 30 acres of city-owned waterfront land which includes a multi-use sports stadium and event venue, half-mile of waterfront for picnic and beach access, a Maritime Museum, a conference center, branch of University of West Florida, and retail and commercial office space.

Maritime Park is Pensacola’s best hope for revitalizing downtown, diversifying its economic base, creating new construction and permanent jobs. The public-private partnership formed to build the park is the best use of public resources to maximize private investment. Maritime Park promises to transform Pensacola’s waterfront into a vibrant recreational, cultural and commercial venue six times the size of existing Seville Square.

The mixed use stadium is holds 3,500 people, and is used for a number of events year-round, including baseball, soccer, football, festivals, graduations and similar events. The multi-use stadium is the home field of the Pensacola Pelicans minor league baseball team.
