BDI provided surveying and mapping services for a detailed corridor study to determine the most feasible course of action to ease traffic from Davis Highway along University Parkway. This project included the survey reconstruction of approximately 2.2 miles of existing 2-lane road to create a 4-lane divided highway.
Work included Design Surveys along the existing corridor. Particular attention was given to the westerly side, where the additional lanes were anticipated. Additional work included intersectional utility surveys at Davis Highway and Highway 90. Construction control was also established for use by the contractors during construction.
Portions of the project required permits and close coordination with the FDEP, FDOT, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Funds were provided for this project from the County’s one cent sales tax.
